-Black with Red leather interior, Red Carpeting, Black convertible top, Documented concours restoration with limited mileage since, 3.4 Liter straight Six-cylinder engine, C-Type cylinder heads, 4-speed manual gearbox, Wire wheels, Jaguar collector ownership, Multiple concours winner, Exceptional throughout.
Equipped with MC Equipment: C-Type cylinder head, spot lamps, dual exhaust, 1.75" SU carburetors and 16" wire wheels. This is an exceptional restored example of the highly equipped MC model XK-140 in original LHD. Completed on December 8, 1955 and dispatched from the factory on January 4, 1956, it was sold through Jaguar Cars of New York to its first owner, an Air Force pilot, Mr. H.T. Bellows of Montgomery, Alabama. After about five years of ownership, Mr. Bellows sold it to its second owner. During this long-term ownership, a restoration process was started, but unfortunately never finished. Free from any damage and surface rust, the frame and body sat disassembled in the garage. Found and purchased, the XK-140 saw a complete, nut and bolt concours restoration completed in 2010. A correct exact replacement MC engine (produced within a few weeks of this car) was sourced and rebuilt. Shortly after the restoration, the XK-140 was sold to its previous owner, a notable Jaguar collector in Georgia.
This immaculate XK-140 has been meticulously maintained regardless of use. It shows limited mileage since the complete restoration. It has won many awards at concours around the country including Hilton Head, Amelia Island, Pinehurst and Greenwich. It was also invited to and displayed on the lawn at The Quail, A Motorsport Gathering in Monterey, CA.
One of the most iconic sports cars of the 1950s, this XK-140 MC is fun and dialed-in for around town, top down cruising as well as eligible for many grand touring-vintage rallying events around the world. This XK140 MC Roadster marks an outstanding example of Jaguar's legendary XK series. It is in superb mechanical and cosmetic condition, serviced and ready for immediate use. This XK-140 includes books, tool kit, wheel hammer, jack, spare wheel, tonneau cover, side windows, restoration and service records, original data plate and its Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate.
