BODY OVERVIEW: The body is clean and straight, with all of the proper emblems and trim still in place and in good condition. The recipient of a professional paint job in 2021, this Grand National has to be straight because as seasoned car guys know, black paint doesn't hide any imperfections. Take a close look at the underside and you'll quickly agree that this car has spent zero time up north. With just over 50,000 miles on the odometer, the body on this car is in remarkable condition for a car of this age.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: Because the fresh paint hasn't been on it very long, there is a distinct lack of dings, dents, and other body damage. Black paint shows all body flaws, and this car is truly in great condition.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: Pop open the door and glance inside and you'll immediately feel like you are back in the showroom in 1987. Slide the seat back, adjust the tilt steering column to the correct height, and you don't even have to start the car to feel like you're going for a ride! Not only did this car receive fresh paint, but inside you'll find brand new seat covers, door panels, carpet and headliner. The interior is as complete as it is clean, with minimal wear and brand new seat material. The only noteworthy item is that the car is still equipped with the original dash pad that does show a few typical cracks.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood sits the original 3.8-liter turbocharged V6. The engine has been properly maintained, and runs like it should while the 4-speed TH200-4R transmission operates smoothly. This is a fun, fast, and unique little car! The turbo-V6 was not only innovative for the time period, but made for a serious street car. Just about anyone who remembers when these were new will tell you what street beasts they were!
