    Description

1987 Ford, E150, full size custom rust free New Mexico van. On the outside you can see the striking award-winning custom paint job that covers the outside including the roof as well as the interior and door jams. Every flame lick is pinstriped, airbrushed and then drop shadowed. There are custom body modifications including shaved door handles with door poppers, custom hood with turbo coupe scopes, side port holes- that shoot flame like lights, front and rear bumpers are narrowed and shaved, as well as red, white and blue paint. The front grill has one of a kind drawer pulls, rear wing with 3rd break light and a front visor with lights, fitted fender flares and more. Four beautiful American Racing wheels and good rubber.
The van was bought new by NAPA body shop division here in Albuquerque, where the previous owner delivered parts in it, until it was retired by NAPA and then bought by that driver, Mr Bill Howard. The inspiration for the fabulous van was from his the love of the Denim Machines built by Coca-Cola and Levi Strauss for a giveaway promotion in the mid 1970's, that Bill (Mr Bill ) had. With the van are the original articles on that giveaway written up by Hot Rod magazine. We think its a Captain America van.
Its interior features a full custom denim interior with four new removable captains chairs. The front denim material is from used Levi jeans, (has seat belts) the middle is flamed half new and half used denim and the rear seats are in new quilted flame denim. The ceiling is covered in denim flames with LED lighting. New dark blue carpet keeps the floor warm and interior road noise down. Hand made eight sided wood steering wheel, along with lots of special features complement the interior.
This cool machine is powered by a 5.9L 351 H.O. V8 engine with auto transmission. Still has its factory carburetor and functioning air pump. The van has rebuilt front and rear suspension, two factory fuel tanks, four wheel disk brakes with front and rear stabilizer bars. Runs and drives great.
We purchased the van from our friend Mr. Bill to help him pay medical bills prior to his passing. Since our ownership we had items fixed and repaired, (have receipts) for: a new battery, replaced alternator, idler pulley, fuel pump, belts and all rubber hoses. Fixed wires to dash lights, turn signal switch and horn wires. Overhauled carburetor and serviced transmission. This vehicle has always had great maintenance. We are not sure about the mileage on the odometer, and would not judge the van on that.  It runs and drives great, with no know mechanical issues.
The last 2' of the back interior wall surface is unfinished, Mr Bill planned to ad a large stereo system, but never did. There is a roll of matching quilted flame fabric to finish off the job- included. The A/C system needs to be serviced before use again, and the new Ken-wood stereo needs to be hooked up.
It was babied by Mr. Bill before his passing, and us, as a show vehicle since. We have lots of photos, just ask. Sold on a NM title. Thanks
