    Description

    For Sac Northern fans this MIGHT BE the Holy Grail. This CUSTOM SN Short Eight wheel Caboose was built from an Eastern Rd Atlas caboose. Extreme modifications were made to the Frame and body. The body was shorten as was the frame. Caboose steps were added to the body. All widows were plugged and the body was scribed. New widows were cut and framed and a new to sill added. The cupola was bashed from an old caboose and the windows enlarged and framed. Details add include glazed windows, brass cupola grabs, Mt end ladders and rails, MT body mounted couplers, brake cylinder and upright hand brakes, new stack and brass side grabs. The caboose was then painted and lettered as SN #1814. Prototype photos are available on the Sac Northern sight. The caboose has also been weathered. A MUST HAVE for SN Fans!!!!!
