Listed today is a very old yet awesome set of gambling chips in a round wooden carousel holder.  I have personally seen numerous different sets of antique casino chips either in person or on-line thru my years of collecting and I have to say that this one is one of the extra special sets.
The set is very substantial and well made.  The wooden carousel is in great condition.  The set is more than likely from the 20's or 30's.  The chips are made from some old material which I am not certain what it is and you can see a cross section of one of the chips in the pictures.  Could be bakelite or some other composite material.  There are 190 chips in the set - 7 chips are made from a different textured plastic material - the remaining 183 chips are made from the much older composite material that chips used to be made out of.  Look closely at the chip pictures...some are textured with unique detailing while others have a glossy smooth texture.  You can tell that these chips are much older than most.
The carousel does have two slots for playing cards.  The wood on the sides of the carousel has a beautiful flowing wooden pattern.  This really is a lovely vintage set.  Perfect for your vintage collections.
