Frequently asked questions: How do I know what size piston to order? Answer: Measure the bore at the top (above the ring ridge) in millimeters. If the bore is a standard size, it will most likely be an even number ie, 54.00, 55.00 60.00mm etc. Anything other than an even number will be oversized , 54.25, 54.50 etc. Generally, one oversize up from your measurement will be enough to clean up the bore (on four strokes).If your cylinder has heavy rust or deep scratches or lots of miles on it you may want to order a piston that is 2 oversizes bigger.Question: How do I ship my cylinder? Answer: I use the US Postal Service all the time. They have boxes that they give out for free called Medium Flat Rate Box. It will ship nationwide for .95 and the weight does not matter, as long as it is over 1lb. These boxes are perfect for shipping cylinders and heads.
