Up for sale today is this classic Wildlife Refuge shield, with the quail. Made to the exact standards as used in the 1930s.
An original of these, black on yellow porcelain, would be many hundreds of dollars, but here is your chance to get one for a fraction of that cost.
Printed on steel with great gloss to replicate the old-school porcelain look, this sign is made to the highest standards of quality. 13 1/2 by 15 inches, and weighs four pounds and six ounces.
The sign is very similar to the federal wildlife refuge sign with the goose (which may be found in my other auctions), but with different colors and a different depicted species.
This is a high quality, heavy steel sign.  Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close!
