    Offered for your consideration of a vintage fireplace or hearth tool set.  From, we would guess, the early 1900s, this is a Victorian style cast iron holder or rack with it's accompanying fireplace tongs.  Smaller in scale, this tool was possibly used for the removal of individual hot coals from the fire.  In near excellent 'as found' condition, there are no breaks, cracks or repairs, but it does have some minor surface rust.  The tongs measure 17" long and are 2 /2" wide at the handle and nearly 7" wide at the opening.  The rack measures 11 1/4" long x 5 1/2" wide x 11" tall.  It has a total weight of 5 pounds 8 ounces and will have a shipping weight of 7 pounds, as it will be boxed for protection.  A beauty to add to the home hearth.
